Gardens in Blaydon and High Spen where families grow, learn and share organic food.
After two years of individual plots, we now run a full community allotment project. Community leaders from different neighbourhoods learn green welfare practices and take them home, so more families grow their own food and care for their local environment.
The project mixes hands-on gardening, education and community time. Everything we grow is shared with service users, families and children, so everyone around us has access to local, organic produce.
