Surplus Redistribution

We manage a series of surplus food programs across Sunderland, Newcastle, and Gateshead, connecting markets, supermarkets, and food suppliers with communities that can benefit from high-quality excess food. In Sunderland, our FareShare dropping sessions allow residents to collect food that would otherwise go to waste on thursdays , while our regular collections of bread and pastries in Newcastle and Gateshead in support by volunteers from Ollio provide families with fresh products, reduce carbon emissions, and raise awareness about food waste in the community.
